JASMYN LANCINGER
Perhaps the best way to introduce Jasmyn isn’t by creating a list of achievements, or even delving into the various successes she's enjoyed through her DJ biz, Olympic Sound—of which she’s had many. Perhaps it’s by talking about one of her worst mistakes, to really get at the heart of what motivates her to this day.
Early in her career and without the valuable experience of years on the job, she was Deejaying a young couple’s wedding reception. When it came time for their First Song a technical malfunction lead to the sound being somewhat garbled, and altogether less-than-perfect. “I’ll never forget it,” says Jasmyn. “It was the worst feeling. I don’t like the feeling of letting people down when my role in their day is so important.”
It's no surprise the experience had a large part in shaping her perspective about the mobile DJ industry. Jasmyn resolved to bring the highest level of professionalism to her work. Beyond that, she saw it was more than just wires and mixers that a DJ could offer, but a truly personal service. At best, it became the territory of people’s dreams.
Says Jasmyn on why she enjoys being a DJ so much: “I meet different, interesting people all the time. I love the personal and close relationships that I establish while working with clients both on the day and through all the planning we do beforehand. They often book me months in advance so I really get to know them well.” But she insists it’s probably a lot simpler than that. “I just love seeing smiling, happy people while I work. It’s FUN!”
In her youth, Jasmyn was very active in competitive dance; she had a strong interest in the arts, music and entertainment. She graduated from Conestoga College with a certification in Early Childhood Education. Jasmyn was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario.
LAUREN
Before Lauren joined the team in 2007 she worked as a social host/emcee on cruise ships. Always a hit at her DJ gigs, Jasmyn had this to say about her baby sister: “Lauren is tons of fun, very helpful and has a great ear for music!” Lauren prides herself on her excellent communication skills and her ability to converse people. She is highly energetic with a gifted personality and an incredible ability to control and drive the moods of the mob!
JAMEY and TAYLOR
Creative, helpful, caring and fun... Jamey and Taylor know how to host a successful party no matter what the event. A great ear for a beat and an over the top knowledge of all kinds of music, Jamey and Taylor head out for each gig with top notch service. NEIL
Neil appreciates that every event is different. He looks forward to working with new people and can easily adjust to any venue, crowd or situation. Different equipment demands, lighting needs and venue layouts... he never tires of the Disc Jockey fun! Neil has a flare for unique beat mixing after many years of experience and hundreds of different events. Neil loves all kinds of music and can entertain crowds of all ages!
PETER
Peter has been involved in the industry for over 15 years, wearing two hats: DJ and Master of Ceremonies. On the DJ side he has played at some of the hottest clubs around the Golden Horseshoe! Peter has extensive experience performing Stag N’ Does & weddings. He knows the importance of understanding all your needs and expectations for your special day. TERRY
Terry loves being a professional disc jockey so much that he does it full time! He truly enjoys playing at all kinds of events from clubs, graduation dances and weddings to very large corporate events.
